Tiffani Wilson is only a savvy business owner, as you read her interview, you will realize she is incredibly intelligent, driven and an amazing creative! Please enjoy this weeks She Slays Saturdays and have the grandest weekend!

Tiffani! We are so excited to have you as this weeks She Slays Saturdays Feature! How did your business, Two60 Boutique come to life?

Two60 came to life right after I graduated undergrad from Ball State University & moved back to the Kendallville/Fort Wayne area. My cousin was doing a bunch of different freelance work & also lives fashion. I jokingly said,”let’s start out own boutique.” & that’s when Two60 was born. We are not only online, but also now a mobile boutique & have so much fun traveling with the trailer! For those of you who don’t know, our name is inspired from our roots—northeast Indiana—the 260.

What did you want to be as a child?

As a child I think I wanted to be everything under the sun. However, one common goal was that I wanted to be my own boss or work my way up into an executive position.

In moments of creative block or lack inspiration, how do you refuel your creativity?
Having my own business + being a blogger/influencer it’s very important that I’m always coming up with creative & new ideas, however, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get in ruts from time to time. In order for me to overcome creative block, I take a step back & remind myself of my end goal & of who my audience is. There is so much that goes into being an entrepreneur & blogger that not everyone realizes. It can be stressful at times but it’s so rewarding & so fun (most of the time lol)!
What is the best piece of advice you have every received?
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to just “go where you feel called.” I felt very called to start the shop & start blogging. They were both things I wanted to do for years & after school I said to myself, if I don’t do this now then I may never do it. “It’s better to know & fail, then always wonder ‘what if?’”
On any given day, what is your go to outfit?
On any given day, my go to outfit is definitely just some cute athleisure. Jeans, booties, & a comfy/cute top (aka fall clothes) take a close second!
Who are some of your heros and why?
- My parents: they both came from low income families, but have made such an admirable life together. They have given my sister and I everything we could possibly need and want + they’re our biggest fans.
- Any entrepreneur/blogger: I admire & look up to other people pursuing similar aspirations as me because I know first hand how much work it is and how much heart goes into it!
What are 3 facts about you we’d never guess? GO!
- I’m working on my MBA w/ a concentration in business analytics & will be done December of 2019. (I’ll have a masters degree at 23 🙈)
- Although I love boutiques, I really enjoy thrift shopping!
- I love classic cars & would love one of my own! Thanks dad...he has three.
What does Slaying Success look like to you?
Slaying Success to me is pursuing what fills your soul. We all only have one life to live, so we should be doing what we love. To me, success is not only measured by money. (Although to me, I am motivated somewhat by money because of my hobbies—I love to travel!)
What is your motto for life?
My life motto is “go where you feel called.”
What advice would you give an aspiring business owner for the journey
ahead?
My advice for an aspiring entrepreneur, blogger, influencer, etc. it would be to just start!! There is no time like the present. Honestly in everything I’ve done, I have had to teach myself & have learned as I’ve gone. Sometimes our mistakes in life are where we learn & grow the most.
